Libations & Company, situated in the heart of Lee’s Summit, sought a conceptual design to establish itself as a high-end cocktail lounge. The design elements of this space were intentionally chosen for their historical significance and style. Notably, a specially sourced 1937 bar and tavern tables crafted from an 1887 floor joist were incorporated. Each element was curated to create a historically rich and stylized experience.

The red light glowing through the windows on the cloudy day we photographed Libations certainly added to the atmosphere. The revamped corner space transformed into a cozy speakeasy, with just enough room for our 17mm TS to capture the giant antique bar all in one shot. The shop’s original pressed-tin ceiling was retained, and the bottle shelves on the back wall added the perfect touch to draw your eye into the room and down to the dance floor.
