This is one of the best places downtown to get engagement session photos. There is so much variety in such a small area. All you have to do is just walk a couple of blocks and you’ll go from luxurious, fabulous hotel window-fronts to gritty urban alleyways. I love starting out at the Alamo Drafthouse. It’s one of our favorite places to catch a movie. There’s a bar in the front lobby, gorgeous architecture and decor and then they bring food and drink right to you in the theater. And it’s really good food! Anyway! Love to start there because of the great spots there and nearby.
Their Urban Engagement Story
Leslie and Mack went out separately with friends one night in Chicago and found each other. They each just wanted to have a night out with friends to let loose and unwind. Leslie particularly just wanted to have a good night out, no pressure to meet guys. Of course, that’s always when it happens, when you are least expecting it!
They still live in Chicago, but their amazing wedding is going to take place next summer in Leslie’s home town of Topeka. Long distance wedding planning can be rough, but I’m so glad they were able to come back to KC one more time for a little get-to-know-you engagement session. They are so much fun together, I don’t think we’ll have any trouble have a great time on their wedding day. We took advantage of the beautiful buildings and urban landscape in Kansas City and the lights and the leaves lining the sidewalks fit their personalities perfectly.
