Kristen and Elson were so easy-going and handled all of the stresses that arose throughout planning their wedding with such amazing grace. I am so happy I was able to be a part of this wedding where two wonderful people were joined together. Their wedding was originally planned for Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park in September of last year. As we all know, torrential rains caused devastating floods across Colorado and forced them to move their venue. Thankfully, they were able to find the amazing Sanctuary Golf Club. The club has absolutely gorgeous views of the mountains and valleys below, however, even on their wedding day we weren’t able to take advantage of those awesome vistas. More rain and thunderstorms, forced us to stay undercover for what still made a stunning, fireside ceremony. Although, the ceremony started out overlooking the valley, it quickly became apparent that the heavy winds were going to hinder everyone’s concentration. Father Marty, quickly and deftly announced to the gathered guests to turn their chairs into the fireplace. He rearranged the bridal party and the couple and continued the ceremony without a beat. I have worked so many weddings with Father Marty and his is always amazing at bringing both gravity and light-heartedness to every wedding.
Following the ceremony, we used the club’s considerable, covered entryway for some great portraits of family and bridal party and continued using their amazing stone-work as a background for photos of the couple. Despite all of the challenges of the day everyone was cooperative and happy. The day capped of with amazing toasts, some spectacular dancing back outside under the cover of the stone gazebo and waffles from Denver’s most amazing food truck.
Thanks so much to all of the amazing vendors from the wedding!
