jenna & adam’s the meadows at marshdale wedding – evergreen wedding photographer

I feel like I say this all of the time, but I’ve really had some great luck with genuinely sweet clients this year (and every year, really). Jenna & Adam are no different. The couple decided to do a “first look” where the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. It helps them relax (although these two didn’t need that!), it also means we can spend more time getting some really pretty portraits (although we were competing  with the rain) and they can spend more time with their guests after the ceremony. Jenna’s parents wanted to watch the first look, so we tucked them away, up on top of a hill. All Adam could say when he first saw his soon to be bride all dressed and ready was, “You’re so pretty.” He was almost speechless. “Wow, you’re so pretty,” he kept repeating as he grinned from ear to ear and held her out to look at her. Rain has been a theme this year too, which is crazy for Colorado! It’s rained every wedding day! Up until this year, I think I’d only really had rain on 1-2 wedding days. They’ve all worked out. In Colorado, the weather has a way of moving on very quickly.

Jenna & Adam met while working at Van’s, so there are plenty of shoe shots. Jenna decorated the sparkly sneakers herself. The bride and groom weren’t the only ones wearing tennis shoes, the whole bridal party, even the ladies wore Van’s. There were many little details that they pulled together from the chalkboard signs directing guests to choose a seat and not a side, to the card mailbox covered in lace.

Then, they wrote their own vows. Now I’m terrible at remembering these things, but I know for sure that Adam’s included a line about loving her because she doesn’t smell like poop. He is the ipitomy of a jokester. I’m sure his goofiness and her sweetness will carry them on through the years. Congrats – I’m so grateful to have been a part of your day! Thanks to my second shooter, Jonathan too!
