Plaza Family Portraits
On this early April morning during our plaza family portrait session, Kaden’s little personality started to shine for us and he came out of his shell.
Kaden had been a pretty stoic baby all throughout the year at all our baby’s first year sessions. With a calm eye usually reserved for the oldest, he spent the first few months of his life quietly observing his sweet big brother, Ben and the giant personality of his big sister, Lilly, with minor interest.
When I see families 3-4 times a year for their Baby’s First Year sessions, I become even more attached to them and the children. My little subjects get excited to see me and have a “play date”. I get hugs as soon as they see me and they hold my hand as we walk from one spot to another. I love that feeling of trust my littlest subjects give me.
Plaza family portraits are some of my favorites. It’s such a great location to get a lot of different backgrounds in a short space of time and with only a small amount of walking. Those iconic tile stairs just outside of H&M are a great little hidden, shady spot that always looks fun and feels very Kansas City without having to have a skyline in the background.
Check out some of the photographs from his 3 month session.
