Backyard Topeka Rehearsal Dinner
I love shooting backyard events. There is something so wonderful and relaxing about being “at home.” The light is always wonderful and everyone is always laughing and having a good time. Things were no different at Leslie and Mack’s rehearsal dinner at her parent’s home in Topeka.
Her parents built a beautiful lani, brought in a clear tent and tables and chairs so that all of their closest friends and family could gather the evening before the wedding. The food was amazing, with some Kansas City BBQ and some homemade Haitian food made by Mack’s family. This family is so sweet and wonderful to work with! I felt like family joining them for an amazing weekend of festivities.
This whole wedding was so amazing.
To cap off the amazing evening of toasts, were fireworks. An amazing display that lasted over 30 minutes!
See the photos from their mini engagement session in downtown Kansas City here.
I love these little cake pops and sugar cookies decorated in wedding colors, made just for the rehearsal dinner.
The poolside festivities were amazing!
It was so wonderful that Mack’s family could join in on the celebrations. They came all of the way from Haiti.
No rehearsal dinner is complete without some embarrassing toasts.
Rehearsal Dinner: Fireworks!!!
Disclaimer— I love fireworks. It’s kind of my favorite thing, so… there are excessive amounts of fireworks photos. You have been warned and should enjoy them all. :)
