It’s been a few weeks since I shot this amazing newborn baby portrait session at the studio in Denver with Linda and Caleb. I’m sure baby Jack is so much bigger now! He was already almost a month old when we shot these photos. It’s always easier to get babies when they are within their first two weeks of life, but we can always make it work. I photographed Linda and Caleb’s wedding back in 2010 at the amazing Evergreen Lakehouse in Colorado. I was so excited when Linda contacted me this last fall to let me know she was expecting! We photographed their maternity session right before I packed up to leave Denver for Kansas City for the winter. I’m so glad I was able to go back early this February to photograph their new family.
They are all so happy and in love together. It is absolutely amazing to watch them. It took almost a good hour to get baby Jack to go to sleep the way we wanted. No worries though, we always plan for that. It’s how you get so many amazing photos of mom, dad and baby just hanging out and snuggling. Once the little guy was finally asleep we could move on to some “baby as art” type photographs. There were so many great shots from this session, but here are a few for you to enjoy.
PS. I’m totally in love with the vintage scale they found. It was amazing and so hard to choose between all of the awesome props and outfits Linda brought that we’d brainstormed for over the months!
