Kim + Travis’ Dream Belize Wedding
I love going on adventures for my couples, whether that adventure takes us to a mountain-top wedding ceremony, on underwater excursions on the North Shore of Hawaii or to a Belize wedding that was like a fairytale come true. When it came time for Kim and Travis to decide where to get married in Belize, the choice was easy. They created an enchanted garden on their estate on the coast. This wedding was an adventure and a destination wedding for so many of their guests, but for them it was just their backyard. I’m so glad they were able to celebrate in a place that is so special to them.
They threw a party of epic proportions for their 400+ guest, large wedding with the flowers, chandeliers, crystals and even reception chairs trucked in from Guatemala. Kim and Travis relied on their team of amazing vendors (see the bottom of the post) to ensure a perfect day.
Getting married in Belize can also be really easy. My first Belizean wedding was an intimate, beach wedding. My clients (and now friends!) rented out Coco Plum Island Resort making it a private island and host to their favorite people to experience not just their wedding, but the whole week with them.
Through that wedding, Kim and Travis found me. Kim wanted to have a professional photographer who would be able to handle any situation and timeline. They asked me and my team to capture the memories and excitement of their wedding day. While Belize is absolutely gorgeous, you have to watch the schedule and pay attention to sunset times. The light in Belize fades so quickly. It’s unlike anything in the more northern latitudes.
If you haven’t seen our last post about the first part of Kim and Travis’ wedding day, check out all of the amazing Belizean wedding details first.
Thanks so much to my awesome second shooter, Savannah and all of the amazing vendors we were lucky enough to work with.
