The Vow Exchange Wedding – Kansas City
The second I met Kristen and Travis I immediately loved how adorable they were together. With some people you just get a vibe. You can tell that they are sweet, genuine people who just don’t get too worked up about too much that doesn’t really matter. Their classy, intimate affair was exactly right for them from The Vow Exchange wedding ceremony in downtown KC, right down to the last detail.
One of the most important things you can do to ensure you will have amazing wedding photos is to make sure every venue has plenty of gorgeous window light and beautiful decor. Each place where we were for Kristen and Travis’ wedding was filled with light. :D . It makes my day when this happens. We transitioned from the gorgeous Hilton President Hotel – Kansas City to The Vow Exchange for their intimate ceremony and then to Boulevard Brewing for their reception.
Getting Ready at the Hilton
The Hilton is outfitted with the most stunning, classic decor. There silvery headboard and black nightstands with stunning metallic details and then the deep blue velvet armchairs bathed in window light. They all fit together perfectly with Travis’ dapper tux and bowtie. There is definitely something to be said for the clean, classic look. You just can’t go wrong. The perfect compliment to the understated elegance were the beautiful bouquets in every color and texture provided by Clara’s Flowers.
The Hilton front desk staff also pulled through in the clutch when we just couldn’t get Travis’ bowtie to look right. Thankfully, someone on the hotel’s team was a bowtie tying pro.
Thanks so much to my awesome assistant as always and to the amazing vendors that make this and every wedding happen!
