vintage, diy lionscrest manor wedding - lyons, colorado
I love it when couples refer me to their friends. Joy and Mike were a fabulous referral from Erica & Chris. Erica went to art school with Joy and was even a bridesmaid in Joy’s wedding. (I also shot their friend Jenna's wedding at Meadows at Marshdale!)
Mike and Joy REALLY wanted an outdoor wedding surrounded by the beautiful Colorado scenery. They found the perfect place for them in Lionscrest Manor. When it started raining before the ceremony was supposed to start, everyone was a bit worried. We checked and rechecked our radar apps and crossed our fingers. Joy’s choice was even to delay the ceremony a bit just to make sure that they could be married outside. When the clouds parted and the skies cleared, the women cheered.
Joy put together so many amazing details, even creating the custom bunting herself. The ribbon streamers were also a little diy wedding project I recommended to Joy. Her mom wanted to help out and sparklers aren't really a good idea in the Colorado mountains, so why not ribbon streamers for her grand exit?!
Kudos to Mike for finding an amazing, vintage engagement ring from Erstwhile Jewelry that fit Joy's style perfectly.
