Meredith and Guy decided to see each other before the ceremony. Meredith knew that it would help her stay calm for the ceremony and they wanted to be able to spend as much time with their families & friends that had traveled so far to Denver after the ceremony. We spent some time in the garden area of Denver University just to the east of the HRTM building. We headed a bit farther into campus for a few more photos to showcase the awesome architecture and brought in the bridal party. I loved their wine themed details and the contrast of the orange bridesmaids’ bouquets against their navy dresses.
At the end of the day Meredith got to put her dancing shoes on! They had the awesome Parlor Pickers to bring the evening into a party.
If you haven’t yet, check out the first post of Meredith getting ready for the wedding at The Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver.
A big thanks to my amazing lighting assistant, Savannah! Also, thanks to all of the great vendors we worked with this Denver University wedding.

Months before the wedding Meredith and I were chatting about a few details and she said something like, you know, I really just want to get to the dancing at the wedding. Of course she wanted to get married and enjoy the rest of the day, but Meredith was definitely ready to dance the night away. Meredith and Guy were referred to me by a lovely couple whose wedding I photographed last year at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. They also ended up hiring the same band too because they truly are amazing. Meredith didn’t go big on flowers and her centerpieces weren’t elaborate, but she new she wanted amazing memories from her wedding and a fabulous band so she could wear out her cute little white dancing shoes!
This is just the first installment of Meredith and her girls getting ready before the ceremony. There will definitely be another post coming up so stay tuned!

Any day in Breckenridge is amazing, but it is always special to get to watch two people who so clearly love each other tie the knot surrounding by the stunning beauty of the colorado mountains. I am so glad I was able to share Tracie & Micah’s wedding with even more of the world through the online wedding magazine Luxe Mountain Weddings. The do an amazing job of compiling some of the best details and gorgeous mountain weddings. Head on over to their blog to check out the post. You can also take a look at the whole wedding here in my blog post.
I love it when I get the chance to watch families grow and change. We first photographed the Ng family two and a half years ago when their first little boy, Max, was born. I’m so happy we were able to get them into the studio for a little family time. Cathy’s mom even joined the fun for a bit. It’s always great to have a support system and an extra set of hands to help you keep the session calm and fun.
I also LOVE creating albums, not just of weddings, but engagement sessions and baby sessions. It brings the whole story together in one place. Over the years, the beautiful books decorate the coffee table, so you can always remember how little they once were.

I had a great time taking a few photos at this mini session with my cousin’s little girl. We were up visiting in Des Moines last weekend and decided to have a little session to celebrate Dylynn’s 1st birthday. Of course a cookie was involved in this little birthday celebration. It also included an adorable little wagon painted by my aunt for Dylynn. Check out my aunt’s awesome Junk Jubilee, it’s a junk market and show of vintage, rustic and repurposed items. There’s one coming up in Des Moines in April. :)
Anyway, check out the adorabel photos of little Dylynn in her sundress. There are plenty of other fun photos from this session, but I just couldn’t wait to get these out into the universe.
